9.45 - 10.30 Catalin Zaharia (România): Research from RCT to Case Studies: a NLPt approach
Psychotherapy research is needed to improve the quality of the service provided by practitioner and mainly to assure the client that it gets what is said and provide customer protection against mal praxis. Various models of research applied in psychotherapy were being applied as in the science applied in natural sciences. NLP started in ‘70s as a exploratory research of the effective psychotherapists and aimed to propose a meta-theoretical approach in psychotherapy. In order to prove the effectiveness of a methodology outcome research was proposed and applied in NLP&NLPt field, including ‘the golden standard’ of Random Control Trials. An overview of the quantitative research in NLP& NLPt was needed to see the actual status of the effectiveness of the NLP& NLPt models applied in the work with the clients and so a Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis was conducted by EANLPt colleagues.
In the same time day by day practice means one to one interaction where change can be seen also in the qualitative aspects of psychotherapy practice.

11.45 - 12.30 Ludger Brüning (Germany): Case by case. Gregory Batesons steps to systemic thinking
Conditionality and relativity of points of view, multi-perspective descriptions, meta-positions, observations of structures of social behaviour and the reflection of the role of the observer were prerequisites and important steps to constructivism and systemic thinking.
Hardly anybody else mirrors in his personal development the change of essential mind sets and points of view in 20th century sciences as much as Gregory Bateson, starting from biology and zoology, changing to anthropology, influencing sociological discussions, inspiring inter- and transdisciplinary thinking and revolutionizing approaches in psychology, learning and communication theory. Frequently ahead of time, he appeared to contemporaries often as off track, appreciated in special circles, disputed or ignored in many others until the tides of time made him – unintentionally - a guru of the late 1960s and a regent of the University of California system.
The presentation will follow his path from cultural relativism and multi-perspective descriptions of natives and movies to applied schismogenesis, cybernetics and double bind theory, to affiliations with MRI and the anti-psychiatry movement and to Kresge College. Did this have anything to do with the beginnings of NLP?

17.15 - 18.00 dr. Peter Schutz (Austria):  Evidence
Evidence is a key concept both in NLP/NLPt outcome work and in evaluation of the quality of the students work. Since 1995 we had very good experiences in checklist based video clips , both evaluated by the client & her patient , the client & its peergoups and the trainers feedback. The checklist on the specific: Outcome criteria of the client Continuous rapport and pacing, adequate handling of linguistic and nonverbal patterns, state management, use of externalization by wooden blocks, present & desired state differentiation, management of good intention and prices , rating of systemic consequences, organization and Integration of resources including the relevant interventions, use of open questions and quality of interventions has proven to be immensely successful both didactically and in quality feedback for the students.
